Women Empowerment...

The Indian women during 17th, 18th and also 19th century were treated merely as beautiful show pieces, they were not allowed to study, they were forced to marry at a very tender age of just 7 or 8 years, in the age of studying and playing with dolls they were driven towards kitchen and were involved in the house keeping activities.

Now the scene has changed...they are not only enjoying the fruit of globalised marking but also they influence the domestic and international spheres. They have developed a space for themselves in this male dominated world. Indian women manage both burden of work in the household front and meeting the deadlines at the work place.

We can mark women empowerment by a few names like Smt Pratibha Patil our 1st lady President, Valentina Tereshkova – 1st women astronaut, Shahnaz Hussain – the mother of all herbal cosmetics in world,  Kiren Bedi and many more in this queue. These ladies have marked their achievement and so we can say that women have proved themselves in every field by their ability to learn quickly from their abilities, persuasiveness, and open style of problem solving, willingness to take risks and chances, ability to motivate people, knowing how to win and lose gracefully.

Today’s women are powerful enough and well deserved as well to get featured in articles of magazines and newspapers , to be talked about on TV channels and espoused for so.

Developing Hobbies Can Bring A Change In You

A hobby can take you out of your life for a while. It can be relaxing, invigorating, educational, fun, or maybe, if you are lucky, a little of everything. Hobbies are more than just ways to creatively pass the time as your mood.
There are some people who like to dance, some like to swim, some go for playing out door games and some like to party. Your hobby can be anything, and I am sure everyone out here has some or the other hobby.

They are also good for your health. Hobbies and other leisure activities can have many health benefits. We know that stress can and will at some point in your life, take a heavy toll on our mind and body. A hobby can prevent the harmful effects of stress and also make our life richer and more rewarding.

One of the main purposes of getting into activities outside your daily routine is to relax( which is utmost important). Hobbies help break your monotonous life. Being able to escape from your small world can lead to better results or greater productivity when you get back to work.

I consider it the best way to connect with you inner self. It is the private time which you have with yourself. When you have a hobby, you will strive to create time for yourself and manage your schedule well to keep that appointment with yourself.

So try to give some time for your self and make your mind fresh so that you can work even hard to achieve your dreams.

How my Parents Met (Part 1)

It was in the month of December when a couple decided to tie a knot, wedding of Abha and Vinod. My dad’s best friend Vinod uncle and Abha aunty, who was daughter of my nanaji’s family friend, so by default my mom and dad had to attend the wedding.

My dad reached a bit late so he missed the initial ceremonies and could not see the bride or his bhabhi...Dad asked Vinod uncle- “ Yaar bhabhi kaha hain, milva toh.” He replied, “Ja upar room me jo sabse sunder ladki taiyaar ho rahi hai, wo teri bhabhi hai”… Dad went up and to the most beautiful lady (according to him) in the room said “ namastey bhabhi ji, I am Vinod’s friend. Good to see you, and then wished bye.

The wedding ceremony began with a twist when dad saw someone else with uncle, the lady whom dad met was not the bride. Then who was she? She was my mom. Dad fell for her and decided to get married with the most beautiful lady he found in the room ( which she is indeed)

Now the most difficult task was how to convey this to mom. He started to plan tricks to turn things in his favor. He made friends with my mama and masi’s husband (we call him kaka) and I must say -using all brains and efforts he left no stone unturned and succeeded in making an impression on them, finally the day arrived when they decided to meet at chappan( all Indorians know it).

(Keep waiting till the next blog comes, to find what happens next…)

How Google has changed the “ Face of Knowledge”

Invention of Google has revolutionized accessing information across all the fields universally. It answers any question in seconds. With use of any device which can run browser and connect to internet you get access to unlimited and ranked information from all over the world. Google, a multitudinous search engine was founded by two Stanford students Larry Page and Sergey Brin in the year 1996. The project was highly appreciated and with an intention "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful". Google also provides searching for videos, images, places, books, blogs, maps and much more.

It not only allows you to find any information in the world posted on internet but also ranks it according to content quality, popularity of website, keywords and your preferences. Google searches for information through its crawlers and orders it for you.

A decade before, we had to go through the libraries, newspapers and seek experts advise just to find answer to a particular question, but now if we search a question on Google we get almost millions of answers in a fraction of second. Finding information and gaining knowledge was never this easy before. Any thins you want to know is just a click away now.

Finding useful and relevant information within no time is nothing but miracle. Now a days Googling is common in housewives for recipes, students for assignments, businessmen for stocks and news, scientists for research papers, photographers for photos, software engineers for code, travelers for maps and a lot more. Google has incorporated each and every possible knowledge or information that one could need right from morning to dawn.

Google has become the best knowledge sharing platform with millions of users worldwide and sharing our wisdom, views, interests through blogs, videos, snaps , catalogues, social networking , books we can surely say that the face of knowledge is now very much recognizable as Google. Google has incorporated each and every possible knowledge or information that one could need right from morning to dawn.

I met Madhuri...A Day Dream

It was 9:00 am and I was getting late for my 9:20 bus. In a rush I kept my scattered folders, bottle, wallet and Tiffin in my purse (rather I can call it a mini handbag) and rushed to the bus stop.  It was a rainy day still I wore a white off shoulder top because it was my favorite and lucky one. I was desperate for luck because it was an important interview and in no case I wanted to miss the opportunity.

Somehow I managed to catch the bus and clutched a window seat. 5 minutes later the bus stopped and something that I could have never even imagined happened…

Out of the blues Madhuri Dixit stepped in the bus!!!

I was amazed and still couldn’t believe what I saw…and then my luck shined to its limit. She sat on the seat next to me, can anyone on this earth tell me what was happening.

She was shooting for some detergent Advertisement and randomly selecting people to talk with. For about 5 minutes she talked to me asking which detergent do you use, would you like to take up XXXX challenge and etc etc etc…all I could listen and see was her ravishing beauty and assumes voice. I was totally lost in THE MADHURI DIXIT. It felt out of the world and an experience like never before, an experience which a few % of crowd can feel and live. I was feeling so lucky at my heart.

As I forwarded my diary and a pen towards her, the bus jumped in a mud puddle and I WOKE UP…

Yes, this was a dream. After waking up, for at least 10 minutes I could not realize that I was in a sleep and this has not happened to me. I had not met Madhuri and now it was time to come back to reality- “the routine life”.

This was one moment that I will never forget in life, though I have not actually met her, but I can say -have experienced meeting Madhuri.

Whatever happens is for good

Shit...Crap...Fcku... What the Hell..Are the usual words that we generally use when something out of our control or will happens...

Elders keep telling that “ beta, whatever happens is for your good. Don’t feel bad about small things and blah blah blah.....

The fact is we feel like the world has ended. We cant breath, life is of no use and our life is totally F**Ked up. Getting depressed is the most common activity people do...but I ...huh.. i gave it a chance.

I think its time to reveal the originality.

YES, what elders say is correct. But i take it in a different way. When we cant help it , we should not be butting up in between. It does not mean we should leave trying; indeed we should try harder but by taking it in a positive manner. Chill yaar if things don’t turn to you, you turn towards them. My serious advice to all you guys reading this blog is just live life; it does give you a second chance.

I experienced this when i saw “death” right near to me. It was after 12th, time for my competitive exams. As every usual student i too had latent hostility. Getting up in mornings, hectic study schedule, busy making notes late nights and all.

It was THE date now. 27th February 2003. I woke up at around 6 am, revised a lil bit, had breakfast, touched my parents and nani’s feet and left for the exam on scooty.
God knows how, a kid jumped in front of my scooty and i pulled the breaks...this is all i remember about the incidence and when i came in conscious i was in hospital. Badly smashed by a car, right hand fractured and badly hit leg. It took me 1hour to even realise that i did not reach the center for exam.

I was such in a bad state of mind , could not even share it as everyone was already tensed. That time, my dad, came to me and said “its okay beta.... ek hi toh exam nahi di” i don’t know why, but those words became my strength.

Gradually i started to enjoy my bed rest, though had guilt of not appearing for the exam, but had mentally prepared to study harder for it. I will cherish this time spent with my family and friends through out my life.  They cared for me , helped me in each and every possible aspect.
Now, by this time, i was quite ok, started routine life, hanging with friends, but this time it was all new. A different experience.

Finally i gave the exam, got selected and now, i am a passed out, with a job in hand. But still i have experienced some of the best days of my life with the most lovable people around me.
I thank god for having done this accident and giving me a realisation about what i have.

I now believe that what ever happens is for good and nothing better then that can happen to you. Of course we loose something but what we get is much better then what we could...

life has different colours... to teach you

Best Days of my life

Today, in my busy workig schedule, when I have to wakeup to prepare tiffins for my children, get the home cleaning done before my husband wishes me bye and leaves for his office and later , fill in  my stuff in a purse and run to catch the 9.20 am bus for my office .As I was peeping out from the bus  I fell in a daydream and went to the most wonderful and unforgettable days of my life.
‘Good bye ‘is the hardest thing to say to the best days of your life, where you spend 15 lovely years.
Those days when my mumy use to wake me up,got me ready and dressed me in school uniform, daddy use to dop me to school and waved bbye till I went inside the gate, the sweet chit chat I used to have with my nappy friends. The days when I was learning to be mature, learning very important lessons of life , knowing the world which was new to me, the school days.
I miss all the hop, skip and jump that I used to do on the way to school, running in the corridors just after hearing the last strains of morning bells, playing in the large field of our school, scribbling last pages of note book with rubbish talks and hiding it from the teachers.
Soon I came to the young age , making new friends, having fun in lunch breaks, annoying our teachers but still having respect for them in heart, bunking classes and then escape from school, ordering pizza’s and samosa’s through our gatekeeper and bribing him 10 Rs to do so and  fighting on small stuffs.
Enjoy late night parties with friends and introducing our boyfriends to each other. I really miss the late night talks on conference call and hiding a few things from parents though they could snatch my liberty, studies which  just started 15 days before exams and then screaming like hell to complete our syllabus, praying to god about the results and  finally the happiness of passing, were some wonderful times that I can never forget.
The last day to school, our farewell, the most emotional time for all and the time to say GOOD BYE. Time to say good bye to the best days of my life, say good bye to my friends who were with me in the best and the toughest times of these years, to my teachers who thought us to be right from wrong , to carry on and be strong. We all made promises to stay in touch but a few kept them.
Today, when I see myself successful in all the roles of my life, then be it a wife, a mother, a daughter or a manager, I feel proud and enjoy each and every moment of life, but if I could rewind the time machine, yes I would make my school days, the golden period last forever.

Life is the best teacher

When you sit in a corner and think what life has taught me? The only answer you get is EVERYTHING. Life teaches you the meaning of Birth, relationships, love, hatred, friends, family and everything you can even imagine. While making a list, i realised evaluating our past is the best example to calculate what has life taught me.  I was born, i learned the most important relationship of my life, my mom and dad. Then i learned there are senses in my mind, i can speak, so i started to utter. Gradually i learned to scrawl, walk, eat, and understand. Then it was the time to learn to go to school. I did that and antiphonally liked that. Then i learned to make friends and made some best buddies for life.
During the whole journey, only one factor remained constant, which is learning. Even today, when i got married, i learned to stay away from my parents, adjusted in a new atmosphere, built new relations and now, when i feel life has no more twists , it is never so.
Having good and bad experiences is a part of life, but learning from them is living it.(life)
I love my life as it is, i enjoy it in any condition it keeps me because i know, “I” am the most important part of my life and it will never disappoint me.
